The Records Division of the Chester Police Department has provided us with the following details and points of contact to assist in the acquisition of your Police Accident Report. You will find specific instructions within the access sections below.
There is a $7.00 fee for a copy of your Police Accident Report, whether you are or are not an involved party. You may receive your report in person, by fax, by mail or email, once it has been prepared and paid for.
Uninvolved parties must provide a Freedom of Information Act Chester City FOIA Request Form and submit as indicated on the form; also see minimal fees on page 2 of FOIA form. We have included also placed this form link below within the relevant access descriptions. Note: uninvolved parties may only be allowed to receive a redacted copy, at the discretion of the Records Officer.

Involved parties and their representatives must request a Police Accident Report by providing a copy of their current identification, the date, and location of the accident, and the $7.00 fee by check or money order, payable and mailed to:

Uninvolved Parties: Request a Police Accident Report by downloading Chester City FOIA Request Form and mailing it to the above address, Attn: Human Resources Department. Call Human Resources or Records Unit for questions.
Alternatively, if your traffic accident took place on the Interstate, you will need to download and mail in this Request for Officer’s Report (SCDMV Form FR-50) from the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles. Fill out the form as completely as possible and sign. Send 2 copies along with a check or money order payable to SCDMV for $6.00, to the address below:
