A hit-and-run accident on Friday, November 20, left one Archville, NC man dead, and the driver was later arrested.
Authorities say, Edwin Shane Riley, 57, was driving a vehicle on Main Street. His car was hit by another vehicle that quickly drove off. First responders treated Riley, but sadly he died at the scene.
Archdale Police investigated the crash, and on Wednesday, November 26, they arrested 32-year-old Brandy Nicole Woods of Randleman, who they say was driving the car that hit Riley’s vehicle. She was charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter, one county of felony hit-and-run, reckless driving, driving while license revoked, failure to maintain lane control, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $100,000.
Officers are still investigating the accident, but say that Riley had no contributing circumstances that led to the crash.
