Family of 3 Severely Injured in Horrific Car Crash With Drunk Driver

A Conway, South Carolina couple and their 10-month-old baby were all seriously injured after their vehicle was struck by a pickup truck on Saturday, July 3.
According the authorities, Timothy Tindall, 29, struck the family’s car head-on Saturday in Conway near Dew Lane around 5 PM.
Jesse Jewett says her fiance, Brett McPherson, threw himself over her to try to protect her from injury in the crash. “Brett had to throw himself in front of me, his whole body, and because he did that he ended up on top of the engine pinned on it with the steering wheel.”
Sadly, both Jewett and McPherson were seriously injured, as was their 10-month-old daughter, Ember, who had a severe brain bleed. McPherson remains in a medically-induced coma, and both he and Jewett have undergone multiple surgeries. Jewett told a local TV station that it may take eight months or more for them both to recover from their injuries. In the meantime, family members have created a GoFundMe to help with their expenses.
Tindall had only minor injuries, and was released from the hospital the same night. He was promptly arrested for three counts of felony DUI. As of Monday, he is out of jail on a $75,000 bond.
